About Uranus

Uranus is a Missouri roadside attraction built around a joke that refuses to grow up. Beside historic Route 66 near St. Robert, the complex combines a fudge factory, a general store, a sideshow museum, oversized signs, and dinosaur photo opportunities. Nearly everything finds a way to work the name into the punchline.

Louie Keen founded the attraction in 2015. Despite its town-like branding, Uranus is not a separate incorporated municipality. It is a privately operated destination whose official mailing address is in St. Robert. The joke is deliberate, and the businesses lean into it with enough enthusiasm to turn a candy stop into a memorable roadside spectacle.

The fudge factory is the main draw, with handmade fudge, candy, and shelves of novelty souvenirs. The sideshow museum adds preserved curiosities and strange specimens, while miniature golf provides another reason to stay. Visitors can keep things simple with a store visit and a photo beside the colorful signs, or pay for additional activities. General admission and parking are free, but food, merchandise, and optional attractions are separate purchases.
