Waikiki SPAM JAM

Waikiki turns canned meat into a street party with restaurant creations, live music, vendors and distinctly Hawaiian takes on SPAM.

Waikiki SPAM JAM celebrates the unusually strong place SPAM has in Hawaii’s food culture. Restaurants create special dishes using the canned meat in ways that range from familiar local favorites to more experimental festival food, turning a pantry product into the centerpiece of a large Waikiki block party.

Kalakaua Avenue fills with restaurant booths, merchandise vendors, live entertainment and thousands of visitors during the main evening event. The festival also supports local nonprofit organizations, including food and community-service groups. The next block party is already announced for April 2027, with a longer restaurant promotion scheduled around the same period.
