About Crescent Hotel

High above Eureka Springs, the Crescent Hotel has had several lives since opening in 1886. It began as a grand resort, later housed a women’s college, and in the late 1930s became Norman Baker’s fraudulent cancer clinic. That darker chapter helped turn the limestone landmark into Arkansas’s best-known haunted hotel.

Guests and guides tell stories of unexplained footsteps and lingering spirits, though the haunting remains legend rather than established fact. The hotel leans into its reputation with guided ghost tours that include the former morgue. You can admire the building from outside, or book a tour to hear the tales where they took hold.
