Corgi Beach Day

Thousands of corgis take over a Huntington Beach gathering filled with costume contests, barking, limbo, vendors, rescues and beachside chaos.

Corgi Beach Day brings corgis and their people together on the sand in Huntington Beach for a deliberately dog-heavy celebration. The event normally occurs twice each year, with spring and fall editions rather than one fixed annual month. All dogs and people are welcome, so visitors do not need to own a corgi to attend.

Activities include costume contests, loudest-bark competition, corgi limbo, fetch challenges, eating contests, a Best Corgi Butt contest, pet vendors, food trucks, photo stations and rescue education. General admission is free, while beach parking carries a separate charge. The fall 2026 event uses a larger beach area south of Huntington Beach Pier.
