About Tinkertown Museum
Ross Ward spent decades building Tinkertown, a sprawling world of miniature scenes, carved figures, and handmade contraptions tucked into the Sandia Mountains. The tiny towns are packed with jokes and details that reward a slow look. Even the walls are unusual, set with thousands of glass bottles.
This is a place to wander rather than rush. Rooms wind into one another, and the collection feels more like stepping inside one person’s imagination than visiting a conventional museum. Check the seasonal opening schedule before making the drive up Sandia Crest Road.
