About World’s Largest Hockey Stick
Downtown Eveleth celebrates hockey with a 107-foot freestanding stick built like an enormous version of the real thing. A five-foot puck and a goalie mural complete the impossible rink-side scene.
The original stick was dedicated in 1995 and later replaced after structural concerns. The present monument keeps the same proudly oversized tribute to players, coaches, and the town’s deep hockey culture.
The stick stands outdoors at Grant Avenue and Monroe Street, so visitors can stop for a free photo at any time.
